Shrimp on a skewer with sweet chili garlic sauce.
Zoodle noodles. The RG made noodles out of zucchini and mixed them with pasta noodles the same size. It was an optical treat! And very good, too, in cheese-cream sauce.
Then, because we peeled too many zucchinis, we made another dish with them. Layered zucchini strips with cheese and herbs. I used dill, basil, and oregano. Crispy breading on top, heated in the oven.
Salad made with fresh peas, garden greens, egg, and red onion.
Dessert: chamomile tea with ruby cacao topped cookies. Also tea biscuits with orange marmalade.

(1,706 posts)Top of Iowa steak (I'm sure there are many other regional names for the cut), mushrooms sauteed with shallots and garlic to top it, caprese salad, baked potatoes and a nice California Gewurtztraminer My husband cooked the steak, since my son is a little intimidated by expensive cuts of meat. But my son did the rest, and I was pleased to see him taking pains to make the caprese look good.

I also add some lime zest & juice, garlic and tomatillas.
