What to take to a Zoom barbecue

I'm invited to a Zoom barbecue for the 4th. Usually, people bring their own main dish to grill, along with one to share. I usually go with a bean-based salad. Has anyone done an on-line bbq or party? How do you handle eating? Do you take pictures of what you would have brought? Is it polite to eat on camera?

But we had brunches with our two daughters (both in different cities) for Mother's Day and Father's Day. We all prepared our own meals and drinks. We had some Proseco and coffee. We put the computer on the dining room table and ate our meals while our daughters ate theirs. And we each showed the others what food we were eating. We chatted together for over an hour and it was lovely.

For your event, I would guess that you would prepare whatever food you will eat and enjoy the company of your friends.

Our daughters' boyfriends currently live in different cities too - so they have date nights together. They get dressed up and make a nice meal and maybe a cocktail. It's the best we can do right now.

Good luck and Enjoy!
