What's for Dinner, Sat., July 11, 2020

Meatballs in tomato sauce with rigatoni.

Eggplant with mozzarella and julienned basil leaves on top.

Salad with fruit in it: grapes, apples. I also put in celery. Toasted almonds on top.

Dessert will be cherries and tea biscuits. Cold spicy chai tea.

Cheddar cheeseburgers with sautéed mushrooms and onions. Kaiser rolls for the burgers.
Fresh green salad with sliced goodies in it: green olives, celery, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, capers and croutons on top. Some dressing out of a bottle.

Dessert will be chocolate chip cookies and maybe a brandy.

from the recipe posted here Wednesday.

I have a couple andouille sausages left so I'm gonna cut that up and add it in, along with a serrano pepper because I like it hot.

1lb minced beef, 1 onion(needed to use 1 up), 1 egg, 1 slice of bread(rye). pepper. too much onion. made my great-aunt's cucumber sauce. 1/2 + 1/2 w/ sugar. dissolve. add apple cider to taste. it gets thicker. add onions + sliced cucumber. bl pepper optional. also made butter fried onions.

Homemade but I was out of sage and it wasn’t quite as yummy. But I had farmers market mushrooms so that made up for a lot of flavor.

Did 10 pounds of potatoes in the instant pot and used half to make whipped potatoes with cream cheese, butter and a garlic caprese salt from a local urban farm.

Three bean salad from Aldi. Yum.
