1. I tried commercial "hard" apple cider the other day... meh. tasted like bad soured apple juice.

Maybe it was the brand but it's not my cup of tea...... or cider. When we were kids we would make hard cider. In the fall we would take apples and cut them up and store them in a jar till they start to bubbled.We then put them outside in a jug when the temp was below 32º. Everything would freeze accept the alcohol.. Sometimes the glass jug would crack..... no fun....

I used to get the Hardin brand cider (from Hardin, IL) at the store years ago and it was pretty good. Now we don't buy much cider. I think it has been a couple of years since we had any in the house.

5. It's a little too sweet/sour for me.. I'm a beer kinda guy.. Oh and bourbon... then there is vodka..
