who makes the lemoncello. I'll ask her how it turned out when I see her and report back.
I haven't heard if they liked the cake or not, but this was a real FrankenCake. I used the cake part from one recipe, soaking syrup from another one and glaze from a third one.
Gotta love Pinterest, you can pull these recipes up side by side and use the features you like.
I love trying out new cake recipes. I can't bake them for us, as we do not need to have them around to tempt us, so they end up going out the door. It's been really difficult to resist baking during the last 8 months because I find it quite therapeutic.
Usually I have several to bake around this time of year. For my Sunday School class fundraiser I put "Special Occasion Cakes" in the live auction. I will offer a certain number, and folks bid until that number is reached. Then those folks get to call me when they need a cake and we figure out what they want. Often they want them for the holidays so I do a LOT of baking. Not sure how that is going to work out this year.

Two of the commenters and my hubby thought the cake needed more lemon. Of course, HE only had what he could get by cleaning the bowl and beaters! I consider him my quality control LOL

I might have used one of the other cake recipes but that would have meant going out to the store again that day.
