with mushrooms and green beans. Merlot.

If I'm up for desert it will be vanilla ice cream with a splash of amoretto and toasted almonds and a sprig of mint.

Mr. O made spaghetti sauce today.

Green salad with leaf lettuce, spinach, tomato, and red onion

I made homemade ranch dressing but they will probably prefer oil and vinegar.

Our local supermarket gets fresh clams from Long Island and we bought a bagful of these little sweeties. The Landlady(!) is making a fresh tomato sauce with garlic, onions, oregano and spicy red peppers. The sauce will go on linguini and topped with grated Romano and fresh parsley.

Garlic bread will accompany the Caesar salad.

Clementines for dessert.

Here's the Landlady(!)'s tip about fresh clams: If you have too many, you can put them in the freezer. When you're ready to make a chowder, let them thaw and they'll pop open as they warm up. Easy.
