What's for Dinner, Thurs., Dec. 10, 2020

The RG did Chinese tonight. He told me he wanted to imitate a particular dish from a restaurant we used to go to, before Covid.

It's called Chicken Blossoms. However, he got sidetracked in his own ideas about the dish and it didn't taste like the one at the restaurant. Had vegetables with it but the distinguishing feature is that each piece of chicken looks like a flower with petals.

Salad made of baby romaine, both red and green. White radish, yellow grape tomatoes, white sweet onion, cucumbers.

Dessert: spicy chai and Christmas cookies.

in a 5 minute sauce*. Big green salad with baby lettuces, pea shoots, claytonia, cucumbers and carrots. White balsamic vinaigrette and homemade croutons.

A nice port wine for dessert.

https://vikalinka.com/ravioli-sauce/ *This is such an easy and quick sauce for any pasta...but especially ravioli. Perfect weeknight hack.

We had steak and broccoli last night. Tonight I stir fried leftover steak with the remaining broccoli and covered it with Soyaki sauce from Trader Joe’s. Rice on the side.
