1. Good morning

Cup of coffee now.

I'm looking out the window and pondering the cold and rainy morning.

FLFC has not budged from his spot on the couch. I think he has the right idea for today.

2. Have second cup of coffee and cream.

Oatmeal with blueberries soon.

3. I'll chop up a Granny Smiths apple, simmer it in a little apple juice with brown sugar and

cinnamon while I'm in the shower, then add that to oatmeal with a little half and half. I used to think I liked the instant apple/cinnamon packets. The real thing with whole oats blows those away. Then out into the snowy weather for about an hour walk. Should be nice.

Missing my mom today. 5 months... Christmas coming...

I guess maybe I'll have to do some baking today. I always feel her with me when I'm in the kitchen.

I always feel her with me when I'm in the kitchen.

Mine was quite rigorous about using the squeegee on the tile after every shower. Whenever I do that, I just know there's an inspection taking place.

I keep her handwritten recipe for Thanksgiving Day green bean casserole on my bulletin board. The RG won't even have turkey on TG, let alone green bean casserole, so that is truly a place of honor.

Regular decaf tea.

cottage cheese, a banana, a pumpkin spice muffin, coffee and cream.
