A take on my mother's tourtiere (Canadian meat pie). I couldn't get ground pork the last time I went shopping, but I did get a lb. of ground sausage. Instead of regular potatoes, I thought sweet potatoes might be a nice balance w/ the spices in the sausage. Gravy on top.

buttered beets

I baked some chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

This is a dish I had at an Italian restaurant and fell in love with. I asked if I might have the recipe and was given the general directions. ...so I tried four or five times to get it to the pallet that I first had it. I finally did it !!! ...and tonight I'm making it again! .. so lovely beef and wine red wine with a both a red and a White sauce with tons of cheese as well.
All baked over and in and around penne pasta ...
