What's for Dinner, Tues., Jan. 12, 2021

Cod wrapped in smoked salmon with cream filling. Capers, scallions.

Seaweed salad with cucumbers, yazu mayo.

Tres leches cake for dessert. Cold coffee.

on edit: I made the tres leches cake earlier today. I once had a student do a demonstration speech on how easy this delicious cake is to make, and I know the RG loves it, too. Just bake a white or yellow cake mix. Then mix whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, and regular milk. After the cake cools, pour the mixture over the top and let it soak in. It's actually better the second day.

Left over tenderloin, onion, green pepper, celery, shrooms, bok choy, shoots, chestnuts in a mellow soy and oyster sauce sauce. Served with buckwheat noodles.

So good but a lot of prep.

Beef stew with beef from the freezer I forgot we had
Just beef, potatoes, onions, carrots and celery in beef broth from a carton. Slightly thickened.

Haven't considered dessert, perhaps some fruit and yogurt since I am not having sugar.

========

FLFC barked at me while I was cooking the stew. His bad behavior was rewarded with a chunk of the beef after it was browned. He had some apple and some steak-um later.
