Anyone cooking a celebratory meal tonight?

I’m about to roast a chicken stuffed with rosemary. I’m baking potatoes on the side and will serve dinner with a vegetable to be decided and an inappropriate Pinot noir.

I'm just gonna throw some baking potatoes in the instant pot, steam a bunch of broccoli and cover everything with gobs of butter, cheese and sour cream.

Easy peasy.

we had a celebratory brunch. Eggs Benedict and Pineapple Mimosas. Usually I don't drink until late evening, but here I am with a bottle of Champaign in me at 1:30 in the afternoon And I have reason to feel okay about that.

and squash casserole (summer squash from our garden), vinegar coleslaw, and a lovely Proseco. Homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert. We had many toasts to President, VP, to our new Senators from GA (which we supported and voted for) to our Mom and Dad (who raised 2 good Democratic Party members) to Stacey Abrams, to Nancy Pelosi, and to THE FORCE (Dad's WWII First Special Service Force unit which we still salute.)
