but it's the one job I steadfastly refused to do, so I considered it worth it.

I've tackled wiring, carpentry, drywall repair, concrete work. Plumbing, no, not beyond fixing toilet guts or putting new washers in old faucets. Plumbing bills were worth it for the other stuff.
