The "significant' Tulip has bloomed.

My sister was an avid gardener. She also had breast cancer. She wore a lot of pink. It became her signature color. And she LOVED dragonflies.

Chris died in January of 2015. That Spring I notice a Tulip blooming where there had previously been all Daffodils. And, it is Pink. So every time this blooms, and every time I see a dragonfly, I wonder if that's a sign she's still stopping by to keep an eye on things.

We lost a loved one who happened to be a cat. His name was Margay, because he resembled the Central American wild margay. Margay's favorite tree had pink blossoms in Spring. The morning after he died, we found beautiful pink blossoms covering the garage floor, but only inside the closed cat door -- because it was a sign that Margay is still here with us.

Ps What a bittersweet story about your Hermana. The pink tulips are delicate and beautiful. I believe in signs..there are signs everywhere--and bc bulb flowers just don't grow anywhere (I know bc I've tried, they take alot of work, right soil, right amount of sunlight--I would say-- she is definitely sending love your way. Take care.

Paz.
