Time will tell.
Good luck to you.

(115,670 posts)3. Mine, too! It's very late this year but it finally did it.
It's a Harbin pear, developed for extreme cold conditions, produces small, hard, inedible pears but it blooms beautifully in the spring.
Here's a photo of it that I took on April 17, 2017! It actually looks even thicker this year but it's 3-1/2 weeks late. Or maybe 2017 was early?
So here's the same tree today:

(17,000 posts)4. I have two that need to blossom at the same time
for cross pollination purposes. One went first and has a couple of pears on it but the one that went last doesnt have any. They are both a variety of sand pears. Hard but flavorful. They are great for canning or baking.

and have nice looking pearlets developing. Both the Bartletts and the Asian.

Nothing better than biting into a sun warmed, sweet pear!
