More roses & blooming trees.
(My allergies be damned, I want beauty. 😁 )

Look at the difference; look at what that "hoe" destroyed...

Stunning on the left.

Did Melanoma have the cherry trees cut down? Where did they go?

Weren't they a gift from the Japanese?

"The crabapple trees have not been permanently removed from the White House. The 10 trees will be replanted elsewhere on the grounds after they are cared for offsite, per the Associated Press and C-SPAN."

I can imagine how deep and extensive those 50+ year-old Crabapple roots must've been and what shock they were subjected to. We'll see if they reappeared anywhere; it's doubtful, at least to me, that they'll be the same trees.

Hopefully, under Jill Biden's supervision, they will be back in that rose garden.

...were planted around the Tidal Basin, as can be seen from the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. There are 1400 of them around the 140 acre basin.

If you ever get a chance to visit, please do. D.C. is beautiful in the spring.

issues say that the paving would be an improvement for them. It is very hard to walk on grass with a rollator, a knee scooter, a wheelchair, crutches. I think they should keep the paving and restore the crabapple trees, the seasonal plantings (esp. the tulips) and back to the way Jackie Kennedy's designers had it.
