Related: About this forumKC Wednesday Just another day in the life of ordinary average KittyCat KC.
"Typeusinterruptus" or "How to grab a human's attention by lying down on a keyboard."
Narrator KC "I looked out and there he was sitting at that electronic whatchamacallit. Obviously ignoring me. Hmmm, what can I do about that? I know, I'll creep quietly toward him and leap up and force him to look at me. Yup, that should do it."
KC "Hey dad, am I interrupting anything?"

"Well now, what do you have here? Is it more important than me?"

"You could use a break from typing, couldn't you?"

"Well I'll just hang out for a while then. Y'know you gotta cool view from up here."

CellarCat and the Great Basement Exploration.
(Author's note: The last time we looked for KC, you may recall we found him here)

Back to today.
KC "The coast looks clear."

Dad "Hah, gotcha! That door was supposed to be locked! How'd you get in?"

KC, "You call that a lock? I just pushed it open. Easy Peasy."
Dad "You been down here all day? We couldn't find you. We didn't want another washing machine incident."
Cat "You bet I've been here. It's HOT outside. My closet isn't much better. What do you expect?"

Dad "OK. You got a good point. But didn't we tell you we can't afford an air conditioner in our clothes closet?"
Dad heads out,

stops to re-secure basement door.

KC looks wistfully at impregnable door. Sighs. I can't get by that, no way José!

Trots back up the cellar steps.

And sits down as the sun goes down.

Then after a bit he moseys to the back porch, and jumps up

to go meow "Lemme In" at the back door, confident his humans will hear
him and open the dang door.

(3,145 posts)when I was working from home. Every afternoon, like clockwork, after her 17-hour nap, she would come downstairs and lie down on my keyboard or walk across it, knocking pens onto the floor. My other cat, Martini, would also come down, but she would curl up in my lap and not disturb anything.
KC bears a resemblance to my Holly. Both beautiful cats (so is Martini, if I say so myself and I do!).
