Merlin got a refresher course on how to wake up mom

I felt a gentle patty pat on my shoulder but it wasn't quite enough to rouse me. A few seconds later I got a not so gentle patty whack on my face. I opened my eyes and saw Madoc, right at the whack spot. Merlin sitting next to him obviously observing the technique.

I love my kid cats. OH, and Carys has been letting me give her a few scritches!

I had a hard time falling asleep, last night, so I admit I did oversleep by a few minutes.

who is six months old, wakes me up occasionally by pouncing on my stomach, only if I am laying on my back of course. Talk about a rude awakening!

Perhaps his earlier technique, of biting my sleeping face with me jumping in the air with fright, has taught him a lesson?
