Madoc cuts me no slack AND moves the goal posts, all at once

I stayed up late to watch Jimmy Kimmel last night and then I had a hard time falling asleep. When I finally did, I just crashed out. Normally I fall asleep at abut 11 and they get breakfast at between 5:30 and 6.

This morning I was awakened by toe beans patting my face. I tried rolling over and pulling the blanket over my head. Those toe beans got a bit more demanding. I checked and it was just 5am. GHAAA!!

I tried to convince Madoc that me sleeping another 30 or so minutes will NOT cause any of them to starve to death. We compromised on 15 minutes.

Fortunately I was able to stumble back to bed and doze off for another 45 minutes.

I hope this doesn't affect my performance review.

I can relate. When I first gave my cats their new veterinary food, I measured it out per the instructions on the bag. Apparently, it wasn't enough for them, so at 4:30 in the morning (I didn't get up until 7:00 because I was working then), Martini would stand on my chest and Holly would gently press my cheek. Believe me, I got the message loud and clear. After a few nights of this, I just filled their bowl before I went to bed and everybody was happy.
