B/C it is really nice sunny day here, I wanted to wash and then air & sun out the litter boxes.
The plastic litter pan has a better lip to grab and lift that pan to pour out used litter.
The stainless steel one has a shallow lip that was hard to grab to lift to pour our the used litter. I would up using my dishwashing gloves to lift the pan .
Live and learn. Pan washes out beautifully.

(22,038 posts)They don't retain odors and I just feel like they clean better. They are heavier though.

(4,641 posts)They do clean up well, and the kitties can't scratch them up like they do the plastic ones. The ones I have each have a snap
on collar that makes 3 sides of the box/pan a foot high and minimize litter being thrown out and onto the floor. My cats are
large and the other boxes I had were too small. They are worth the extra cost
