Stainless steel litter pans & picking them up to pour used litter out for deep cleaning.

My first post on the topic.

B/C it is really nice sunny day here, I wanted to wash and then air & sun out the litter boxes.
The plastic litter pan has a better lip to grab and lift that pan to pour out used litter.

The stainless steel one has a shallow lip that was hard to grab to lift to pour our the used litter. I would up using my dishwashing gloves to lift the pan .

Live and learn. Pan washes out beautifully.

They don't retain odors and I just feel like they clean better. They are heavier though.

They do clean up well, and the kitties can't scratch them up like they do the plastic ones. The ones I have each have a snap

on collar that makes 3 sides of the box/pan a foot high and minimize litter being thrown out and onto the floor. My cats are

large and the other boxes I had were too small. They are worth the extra cost
