(6,151 posts)Perhaps I'll find out when I get to watch the video. But right now the tv is blaring tornado news and I hear we're under tornado warning already. I need to get offline. But today was rather stressful for me, and this has been a better way to cope than some methods I could've chosen.
Since I couldn't afford Calais, ME for retirement I moved here in Tornado Alley. But one consolation besides the gardening zone being the same as southern ME at least, is the Indian legend that our town will never take a bad storm hit. The tornadoes barrel down on us and then veer off at the last second, which I attribute to topography. We get awful straight-line winds though, which can be almost as destructive. That's why I won't have any huge trees in the front yard where the prevailing wind direction would blow them down on the house. Lighter trees at a maximum of 20' give plenty of shade and aren't so dangerous.
Gotta go now. Thanks for the OP. I'll watch the video when it's safe to turn the computer back on. Times like these are when I wish I already had a little battery-operated Chromebook for comfort.

(18,219 posts)Australia is the home of some truly odd critters. Egg-laying mammals! Bizarre.
And this little one is cute as a button.
