Shadow's heritage is 1/4 Border Collie 1/2 Blue Heeler plus Husky, Golden
Retriever, Austrian White Shepard. She has given us more than eight
years of joy.
At birth she was part of this litter, found in a barn by a pet rescue
group. "Shadow-to-be" is in the front by herself.

About three weeks later we met and adopted her from the rescue group.
We called her Shadow because she followed us at heel everywhere.
When Shadow came to live with us our sweet dog Sandy was still alive.
They were introduced and got along well. Sandy died shortly thereafter.

Laurie also acquainted Shadow with her first horse, our Paint mare Kate.

Puppy Shadow was a bit mischievous at times.

Nonetheless, she made herself to home.

We found out quickly she loves to run!

She was fascinated with Mommy's iMac.

Here she is "helping out" in the barn.

One of Shadow's favorite activities growing up was to play with
Mommy's irrigation system.

All too often, we'd have a Soggy Doggy in the house.
(KC may have wondered how his dog got so wet.)

One day she inadvertently posed in the trees. This became
Laurie's favorite photo of her at the old farm.

Her last photo from the old farm is called "Shadow in shadows."

In June of last year we moved from the old farm to our current one.
Our first full day here Shadow checked to make sure everything arrived
safely.

At first she was skeptical of her new surroundings.

But she and Mommy talked how this was now home.

Then Mommy dug out Shadow's Jolly Ball and made it official.

Thank You for staying with us. Chapter 6 of Shadow's DU history will
begin next Friday at her new home, only the second she's ever known.

Hugs to you all, George.
