Revolution for fleas on kittens

My three foster kittens have a few fleas. The shelter gave me kitten and cat (for my own two) doses of Revolution for them.

The directions say that the kitten dose is good for up to a 5 lb. kitten, and to use a minimum of 2.7 mg of the 15 mg capsule per pound of body weight. The shelter just said use the whole dose on each kitten. But the kittens don't even weigh 2 lbs yet. They are just the minimum age that you can use Revolution, eight weeks old. What to do--put on the whole thing, or just half? They weigh between 1 lb, 6 oz and 1 lb,12 oz.

If I multiply the 2.7 mg by 1.75 lbs, the largest kitten, I still get only 1/3 of the 15 mg dose as a minimum.

Is it okay to use the whole thing on each kitten, do you think? Or will that much make them sick? Will it be okay for them? Going to put it on tomorrow.

Cats under 5# need 15mg dose

Just make sure you put it right between their shoulderblades where they cannot lick it. Then watch them for any ill effects.

so I'd hold him for an hour to give it a chance.
3 kittens would be hard to do at the same time.
Maybe only do one kitten a day.

It only has to be on them for two hours. By then enough has soaked into them, and you could even rinse it off if you wanted to.

Someone else held them and it's only a little bit of liquid. They kept on playing and it dried and they are fine.
