Marcy brought me a "present"

Came in the house to take a nap. Hit the bathroom and kicked off my shoes, came around the corner of the bed and stepped on something.
Dead squirrel. So of course when I pick it up she wants it back.
Ran outside barefooted and tossed it into the trash can. then managed to get my nap.

I am sure that Marcy was very pleased with herself.

You, not so much. The things we have to deal with!

It's their natural instinct to hunt. Cats often bring gifts, but if I recall correctly, Marcy is a dog, right?

She's done it before at the park. she has first gear, second gear, then she hits overdrive.

I'm sure she thinks it was a lovely offering that you'd be thrilled by. LOL!

I like little wild critters just fine as long as they aren't in my house and are alive with all their innards inside them where they belong... otherwise, YUCK.

When I read the OP I got a flashback of when I was a kid and one of our cats caught a squirrel, dragged it into my parents bed and chewed up some of it's middle. Thank heaven my dad found it rather than my mom (she would have screamed the house down). I never saw it, but I think my imagination may actually be worse than what it actually looked like though I'm glad I never looked at it either. Mom was a pretty good sport about it afterward though... she joked that she'd rather have been "gifted" a box of chocolates instead.
