So I had to go to Mexico

I covered the birds on a Wednesday and took the taxi at oh dark hundred, (3:45 AM). So literally I went poof as far as they were concerned. I was down there for two weeks. Came home last night, LATE again, so we let them sleep, even though they heard us and started to vocalize.

This morning when I uncovered them Cookie immediately jumped to my finger and asked to have his feathers cleaned, as I type he is leaning on my foot. He has been following all day as I do chores like a little puppy. Connie is now snoozing against my shoulder. I was expecting to get "punished." It is more like, where the hell did you go? Admittedly they also miss my cooking.

But this is the unconditional love we all love from our feathered and furred kids. It is actually quite special.

and he qualifies as a rescue. He is 25, and should be around for another decade at least

Connie is a sun conure, she is fifteen and a teen ager.
