about smell. The dogs and cats know the smells of their humans. When a baby comes into the picture I wonder if there is a related smell -- anyone know? Do we carry a family smell?? I don't have any idea. But yes, my family does the same thing. Let the critters meet the baby right away. The dogs have always stepped right up and taken on responsibility for the babies. Such love.
