Green Cheeked Conures (GCC)

My wife and I are seriously considering adding a GCC to our family and I would like some DU wisdom before making the commitment.

We've both had birds our whole lives and currently have a couple parakeets. Our main concerns are with the following-

1) Are they generally louder than parakeets shrieking or fighting cats?

2) If 1) is true, what other parrots would you recommend for apartment dwellers?

3) I've read they can bond to multiple people; is this true?

2. greencheeks are possibly the quietest of the conures

(along with maroon-bellies). Very gentle, cuddly and not prone to shrieking. Perfect choice of conure for an apartment dweller.

And yes, your conure will bond with you. They are very lovable. My sun conure, Domingo, used to sit on my shoulder and preen my eyebrows and eyelashes for hours, before she fell in love with my peachfaced lovebird Joey. So I was dumped (again), but I'm used to it and they were very happy together.
