Bart the cat was dead: to begin with. There was no doubt whatever about that.
Yep, basically Dickens.
The little guy got hit by a car. And by the looks of Barts face, y-i-k-e-s . . . it was just really awful stuff; you probably dont want to know all the gruesome details.
But stick with me here, because its getting good.

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - It sounds like a scene out of a movie a cat is hit by a car, buried and then comes back to life.
But this is no movie. This happened to a Tampa man and his beloved family cat, Bart.
"It's a miracle. All I can think is, 'it's a miracle.' It just wasn't time for the cat to go," Ellis Hutson said.
Bart has the heart of a fighter and the strength of a lion. The little guy wasn't supposed to live, but wasn't ready to die.
"If this didn't happen to me, I'd want to hear the story. But this is what i experienced, and this is what happened," Hutson said.
When people hear the story of Bart the cat it sounds like feline fantasy, something that could never, ever happen, a tall tale. But, sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction.

(8,380 posts)our beloved Abigail Hops to It, aka Abby, aka Little 'Gail, etc., etc., died in my arms last February 18th. I knew she was dying, she knew it, and our shelter guy Jack knew it. When she died, her heart, that floppy, horrible, weak Cavalier King Charles Spaniel heart, was still and calm. I wrapped her up lovingly after Jack said goodbye, and I placed her in the trunk to bring her body to the vet the next morning.
And yet...I kept worrying, "What if she isn't really dead? I wrapped up our dog and put her in the 40°F garage, and what if she's not dead?"
I KNEW she was dead, I knew it, and yet I went back to the garage and the trunk just to check.
