Pups are getting big!...

They are 16 & 17 pounds now and as playful as ever. They are asleep at the moment but they will be rousing to go in a few minutes I suspect.

I am less paranoid about them being in the backyard now. They still eat leaves and sticks and moss and just about anything they can find, but they are big enough to not get lost easily.

This week, they saw their first turtle down near the park. They had no idea what to do about it but it was cute watching them following it. They also encountered two great big dogs who were very active but very friendly with them. They did not join in the fun but stood by me and watched with excitement.

We all got caught in a brief unexpected downpour and that was interesting. They were not happy about that! But little wet puppies are cute.

Had a good vet visit but they fell asleep while waiting for the vets to get the medicines they need. Prescribed Sentinel and Frontline after I balked at anything new like Trifexis. Too scary for me after the fiasco with out last dog and the vet seemed to understand. I worry more about ticks & heart worms than fleas. We'll see how it goes.

Leash training is hit or miss. I think I would do better if I could walk them one on one. Also, if it weren't so blasted hot. They have black fur! This morning was okay but I had someone coming over so I couldn't get the dogs out to walk.

All in all, they are doing well and I'm pretty seriously in love with them already.
