Fosters in the home stretch--nine weeks old!

This week has seen a big boost in confidence! I'm glad I didn't take them in this week, at 8 1/2 weeks old, because starting about Wednesday they have become more adventurous and bold and have learned so much. They can now go up and down stairs with ease, and have discovered that the main floor of our house is a lot of fun, with its small screen porch and full size cat tower. They have met the resident cats, and one of those is friendly. The other has to be exiled while the kittens are loose because she took a swipe at one (she's 12 years old after all).

They are eating more kibble and drinking more water, which they have been delayed in doing. These pictures show some of what they've been up to, including exploring new spaces and napping in different places. Next Wednesday they will be going back to the shelter, but Mama Greta will get an extra week here to dry out and rest!
