I give my Golden, Caleigh, Dasequin MS by Nutramax. She receives one chewable per day. They also have Double-Strength Cosequin. Both come in soft chews, also. I had a Golden named Murphy that was diagnosed with severe hip dsyplasia when he was seven months old. He took one each day until his death at twelve years. He did not need to have a hip replacement, which we were warned might be necessary when he reached five. We did restrict his running and jumping off of high places. I order my supplements from chewy. com. Hope this helps

You will undoubtedly need some anti-inflammatory care but should do so under the supervision of your veterinarian. Aspirin can be used but less frequently then with humans since it suppresses platelet (clotting) function longer in dogs. DO NOT use tylenol, naproxin, ibuprofen or any other human medication--toxic!

Any food that has anti-inflammatory characteristics such as celery seed and tumeric. (Tumeric is a natural wormer too) Could be worked into his/her diet.

Also. Knowing which foods are inflammatory would be good so that you can make sure your dog is not getting those in the diet.

Hope this helps. My Zeus is a golden mix!
