I committed that transgression once, though very lightly, and got a RAWRR! and a hiss, and despite my groveling apologies, the steppee scurried upstairs and sulked until a little while later - when she heard a treat package being rattled. She seemed willing to accept that apology.

(My DU alias) absolutely NEVER meowed, he was the most silent cat I've ever known. Except the one time he got underfoot and I accidentally stepped on his tail. Was shocked to find out he actually could meow.
