Okay Hubby & I created a little monster. Queen Mean

I was walking at 5am by a hissing Mollie. Why? Because the Princess believe the bed is her bed and won't let any other cat on the bed.

Mollie is a year old like Manny and Brooks but Mollie is half the length and half the weight of the other 2. Manny is really coming out and looking for attention. It is with hesitation but he has allowed me to pet him. In fact he came to me for petting in the room & at first he was nervous but after he realized I was wasn't going to be gentle he loved it.

Anyways Manny has been trying to jump onto the bed from time to time but either he feels he can't or intimidated by Mollie. But this morning we woke up to hissing.

So is this something we can fix or does the bed now become known as Mollie's throne.

We had one cat in the house. She was simi-feral - still is. Anyway Lovey attached herself to my wife and puts up with me. We inherited a couple of elderly tuxedo cats who grew up together, Angel Kitty and Abigail. Our cat household ended up in a 3 way stalemate. Abigail terrified Lovey and Lovey terrified the HUGE Angel, Angel dominated Abigail. This never changed throughout the next few years until the elders died. Oh and Abigail was stuck on my wife and Angel was my boy.

When you live with cats you just have to mostly go with the flow.

We don't know where they came from. They are not feral and came people friendly. We took them to the vet as they came so they could get their shots, defleaed and dewormed. They get along just fine, grooming each other and sleeping in a pile when it's cold. They love each other and us as well.

And it doesn't matter if they're typically cuddly-lovey with the other cat or not.

We have four females who have delicately negotiated stalemates in the constant war over who sleeps where on the bed at night.
And every month or so, that changes; right now, Princess has decided that the body pillow I use for my shoulder and back is perfect for her old bones, so she'll come under the covers to sleep curled up under my arm on that pillow for a couple hours when I'm in bed instead of on Laz's head (well, his pillow over his head), where she used to sleep.. Which means Eris has to go to the foot of the bed on my side, or curled up behind my knees to catch the lower end of the pillow because she used to sleep outside the covers next to my arm. Kali typically sleeps on Laz's feet; she hasn't moved since she determined that was her spot.
And Goblin chases anyone trying to get on the bed *after* she settles in between us at the foot of the bed; meaning hisses and the surprise of 12 lbs of cat bouncing on sleeping Humans in the middle of the night because someone needs to to avoid adolescent cat play after taking too long cleaning oneself after the pre-prandial stinky cat feeding and bath.
