They are typically cool customers around other cats. Our male is very similar to Charlie.

a young cat and he had no way to get out. Fortunately, someone discovered him before harm came to him and he was taken to the county animal shelter. He was neutered and vetted and put up for adoption. He lived in the shelter for over a year before I got him. While he was there, he became a caregiver to all of the baby kittens, orphans, and frightened older kittens. During the day, when the cats were released from their cages, Oscar slept on a fluffy rug in the middle of the room with all of the kittens heaped up around him. He would bathe them, correct them, and he comforted all. He was like that all of his life. After we adopted him, he was Uncle Oscar to all of the fosters and younger kitties. He died about 5 years ago--sweet until the very end. Sniff, sniff.

Uncle Oscar is on the right.
