Take a look at our Trap/Neuter/Return Feral/Community Cats site

I founded this organization a year ago (and I won't forget the date...Inauguration Day 2017...gag me) and am so pleased with the first year's results.

We are located in S. Metro Atlanta in the towns of East Point, College Park and Hapeville, often called the Tri-Cities, so the name 'Tri-Cities Friends of Kitties' kinda rang in my noggin!

This has been a learning process for us. We are a small group and depend on each other to help the cats.

We have adopted out so many in the last year, mostly kittens, who, big surprise..were not all that feral! It just takes some love and patience.

The cats who are truly feral we provide food and shelter for. They know it's us when we drive up!

Please take a look at our site. I am not ashamed to admit that we, like most charities (we are 501(c)(3) tax deductible) need funds. Right now we have (actually I have at my home, fostering) 2 kittens who need some eye surgery.

Take a look at 'Our 2017 Cats' and explore the site.

Thank you all so much in advance!

Spay & Neuter in Chattanooga, TN. Their transport comes to our county once a month and they will take ferals. They are sp/neutered and returned the next morning. It is a bit tricky to get the timing just right. We also work with National Spay Alliance in Dalton.

I will share your posts on my fb page which is seen by a lot of cat people in the state. Maybe it will help. Bless you for being there for the ferals.

SpayNeuterAssistanceProgram = Snap. They do great work, have a farm where they keep kitties plus they have 2 PetSmarts, Howell Mill and Camp Creek, where they house kitties for adoption.

They have a FB page and website as well. http://snap2it.org/ and https://www.facebook.com/snap2itcats/

cook county has been helping cat charities place ferals for rodent control. a few years back rat populations spiked, and there is now a waiting list.

this book came out of their early efforts-

their preference is mice and rats. I live in a rural are where someone killed most of the cats. We were over-run with mice and some had serious, expensive damage to their homes and especially the electrical systems of cars (mice like to eat the covering on wiring).

and snakes, insects, invertebrates, frogs, salamders, toads, butterflies,
pollinators, mammals, and lots of other critters too. They are ecological
hammers. It might feel good to help the cats but they really hurt our
native wildlife and ecology.

http://www.startribune.com/working-cats-program-gives-felines-a-job-and-a-home/374560061/

Jim Trenter was fed up with the mice chomping into grass seed bags at his business’ warehouse — until he heard about the new “working cat” program of the Animal Humane Society.

Despite the fact that “cats” and “working” rarely appear in the same sentence, he adopted two felines. They now live and labor in the warehouse, which is suddenly mouse-free.

“Best employees I have had!” joked Trenter, manager at Ramy Turf Products in St. Paul. “And you feel really good about it. You’re able to give a cat that might be euthanized a good place to live.”

That’s precisely the goal of this program, designed to find less conventional living arrangements — and a full-time job — for cats that aren’t a success on the adoption floor.

..the Tiny Kittens program out of Langley, British Columbia, it would be worth taking a look. They manage a large colony of feral cats and have an extensive website, with followers from all over the world. Very active chat room. There might be some ideas there to help you in this noble endeavor. Just google tiny kittens, and you'll get there

My four rescues and I send you love and good wishes.
