New rescue -

We have a 2-yr old lab that we bought from his original owners last year. May have been returned to breeder if he couldn't hunt or something - he is the type that jumps when a door slams. At any rate he's a gorgeous pure-bred with all his papers that has had a lot of training and is really settling in to be an amazing house dog and part of our family. He is our third lab and we've always had one at a time. Well, this spring we've gotten brave and adopted a friend for him. She is about a year old and came from lab rescue (we had worked with them to get a dog a few years ago but he was older and only lived 8 months). We wanted to try rescue again because there is such a need and this spring especially in the Houston area the shelters are all full. So, here they are:

she is a little more timid than him and doesn't play quite as rough but they seem to like each other.

i know there are a lot of single doggies out there that are very happy, but i do like them to have at least one doggy family member.
