We had less than stellar results, but our older cat was already 10+ when the new kitten came (we found him and his litter mates - a brother and a sister - when they were about 2 weeks old and bottle fed them for 6 weeks). They tolerate each other now (the "kitten" is 3.5 years old now) but they have never been nor ever will be "friends".
