1. Smart!

I wondered what my little dog did when I went to work and would come home and find her stuffed animals and balls around the house. One day I heard sounds in the bedroom and I think I know some of what she was up to in my absence...she would get her ball in her mouth and throw it against the bedroom mirror/closet door at her reflection. It would bounce back and she would run and catch it and do it again. It sucks being an only child and no playmates all day, every day.

3. I used to wake up to the sound of my printer. My cat Gabby (who died in 2006 at almost 20)

had learned how to turn it on so she could try to catch the paper as it came out.

My sister had a cat who learned to turn her bedroom light switch on and off--all night long. Linda eventually just learned to sleep through the on-off light.
