Your mistake lies in the phrase "my chair". ret5hd Mar 2020 #2
I acknowledge that in the last sentence of my post. nt tblue37 Mar 2020 #4
MY cat is also wrong. You/we are always THEIR human. Doreen Mar 2020 #8
Yes, of course. You-re right. I'm just their servant. nt tblue37 Mar 2020 #10

she always lies in when I am not there. But when she is on me in my chair, she STANDS, which is not at all comfortable for me, because she wants me to get up and let HER have HER chair to herself.

My bed also belongs to the cats, apparently. They could choose any other bed in the house, but every night at least one of the four will lay smack dab in the middle of my bed and then act all offended if I have the gall to want to get into it.

I know it's a power move. She's a vindictive cat. When i told her a few weeks ago that she couldn't have more treats. within a half hour she brought a live dove into the house. She dropped it as soon as I scolded her, and I threw a towel over it and took it outside and it flew away. I doubt it was okay, but I didn't see any other option.

Lizard season will be here before we know it.

Here in Tucson, at the moment, we're having a population explosion of short-lived flies that bear an uncanny resemblance to gigantic mosquitoes. My two brutes love them, because they tend to fly slowly close to the ground.
A Savannah Cat and a SHD that weighs fifteen pounds thundering around the house in pursuit of flying insects is entertaining.
And alarming.

parked himself in it every time I stood up, complained when I moved him, then parked himself on me as soon as I sat down. But I finally managed to lure him away by getting a pet bed heater and putting it under a blanket on the couch, which is next to my chair. Now he mostly sleeps there and only occasionally sits on me.

I have one, but it's currently in use in another room. Maybe I'll order another.

Edited: I forgot to say thank you. Thank you.
