(9,663 posts)Muddy and The Beans are the smart ones. They realized it was always clean. They took to it immediately. Boots Collins took a couple days but shes hooked....and fascinated by it when its cleaning! Steviewonder on the other hand, we had to leave a litter box out for him....and not clean it. That got him over the hump. Hes still kind of afraid of it? But not enough to discourage him from using it though. Its now the only place for them to go. Shut down the other one robably six weeks in. No issues to report. This thing is awesome! If you can afford it? So worth it!

(20,868 posts)Three of them?
Does it make noise or frighten the kitties?

(11,795 posts)And its my only litter box. Change the bag about twice a week. Add litter as needed.
It makes noise, but its quiet. Not loud at all. And my two girls are absolutely fascinated with it when it self cleans. Its in my office and I have to yell at the two to leave it alone so they dont disrupt it. Itll stop if it senses a cat is in or climbing in.....

(11,795 posts)There are filters to keep the smell in the dump tray and the scented can wear it out faster. But your standard clumping is all thats needed....

(823 posts)...and have to remove the excrement bag every two to three days. Have had ours for several months. Time to clean out the bin interior.
We initially got the cats used to it by picking them up and putting them in the auto-rotating bin every time they needed to go. They finally started going in on their own after three to four weeks.
