and she figured she'd have to do some doggy paddling so her legs would start before she even touched the water.
Ill bet that was fun to watch!

she had her leg cut off and reattached (a genetic problem that my wonderful vet fixed and she was as good as new). To help her get muscles built up I did water therapy in my bathtub every day for 30 min for a month. Since she was a tiny Chihuahua her feet didn't reach the bottom of the tub so I would get in with her and hold her in place and she doggie paddled in the tub. Ever since then she liked water and wanted to go in for a bath. If she were bigger I would've had to do water therapy in a pool made for larger dogs and would cost me a lot of money.
