Express love and emotions so they get categorized as property. As anyone who has ever had a companion animal knows, they are so much more.

We share deep emotional bonds with the pets in our families. We are just as linked to them as they are to us.

Sure can relate... Am still grieving our sweet 5yo yellow Lab who passed just 9wks ago. She had the sweetest big heart & had love for everyone & every other dog or kitty she met. Most days I still cry.
She had an undetected congenital heart valve problem. Got our 3rd sympathy card from a neighbor yesterday in our mailbox - 1 neighbor even got us flowers. The big baby was known for being the sweetest kid in the neighborhood. She was a rescue puppy from one of DUer MimiMe's litters.

Bet your Lilly was a lot like our sweet Border Collie from yrs ago
- their halos are just invisible.

Cats really are little furry Gods.

Cats love so deeply.
They are so emotionally sensitive ,honest and sweet.

When I went through an abusive hell growing up it was my pet cats who kept love alive in my heart with thier astounding empathy and compassion.

Makes me want to hug my cat Othello forever.

I appreciate every day he is here. I love him so much. I love him forever.

As a child I experienced such a terrifying, lonely sadness too. Animals truly seem to have more empathy than 98% of people. They hold us together & keep us sane. They're furry packages of pure love.
