Sandy and Lucille our daytime dogsitter.

For a long time we would drop Sandy off at the home of a proverbial sweet old lady on our way to work. Sandy would stay the day. Lucille would give her egg yolk and a bite of ham for lunch and occasional treats during the day. They got along wonderfully. I cut off half of Lucille's face for privacy, despite the fact she and Sandy are deceased.

7. It was Karadeniz. Classic Win Win circumstance.

When we dropped Sandy off at Lucille's on our way to work, we would drop the leash soon as we got in the door. Sandy's tail wagging, she trotted over to where Lucille sat waiting for her. And Lucille's face would light up every morning.

We tried to pay her, but instead Lucille baked cookies for us. Lucille was just the sweetest Lady. Pure of heart.

8. Thank You Diamond_Dog! It was just that.

Although by day's end Lucille looked tired out. Just as well, perhaps, Sandy went home for a little while.

Lovely, just lovely.

I'm sure you miss Sandy.

That chest - I have one of those big antique chests in my bedroom which I inherited from my childhood nanny, my mother's older 2nd cousin. I tear-up when think of that sweet lady. I imagine Lucille was a lady like that and Sandy loved her too.

10. Thank You Duppers - What a wonderful memory of your nanny.

Lucille was a sweet lady like that. Sandy loved visiting with her. And yes, we missed Sandy.
