(205,975 posts)I adopted my Jack back in 2006 and he just turned 15 last month. I hope that you have your beautiful Shadow at least as long. My Jack still makes me smile each and every day.

(5,420 posts)You say you too have a dog. Sometimes I wonder whether we have the dog or she has us. I'm pleased to know about your Jack. Do you have a picture of him?
Here's another of our girl. She is three and a half now.

(205,975 posts)Love seeing the pix of her! Here's my Jack, who doesn't like to have his pic taken - except when he's happy to be leaving either the groomer or the vet! I adopted him at 5 months old and he just turned 15 a couple of weeks ago. He's a Brussels Griffon, you don't see too many of those, but I've had 2 in my life and I'm so grateful that he found me...

(5,420 posts)Big Eyes! That you are grateful he found you is very touching. That's how things work. He's wearing a very cute coat? Sweater?
Thanks so much for showing him.
I looked "him" up on Wikipedia:
The Griffon Bruxellois is known to have a huge heart, and a strong desire to snuggle and be with its master. They display a visible air of self-importance. A Griffon should not be shy or aggressive, but they are very emotionally sensitive, and because of this, should be socialized carefully at a young age. Griffons should also be alert, inquisitive and interested in their surroundings.
Sound about right? Jack looks to be a wonderful guy to be in your heart.
