So cute and sweet you cry? I mean tears rolling out cry?
Othello touched my face when I was in the bathroom. He jumped up on the counter as I was checking my hair out in the mirror. I said hello sweetie and turned to face him. He stood up on his back legs and put his paws on either side of my face near my ears looked into my eyes with that look that never fails to turn my heart to jello and touched my nose with his nose. When he sat back down I pet him and kissed the top of his head,he jumped down and went out of the room. I proceeded to brush my hair. Then I felt tears well up.
I am totally in love with my kitty. I got it bad.

(12,470 posts)People always miscalculate how deeply emotional Cats are. Sometimes thier perceptiveness and compassion really does move you to tears. Othello is konked out on my lap now.
I'd take a bullet for my Cat. I really mean that.
He is kinder, more emotionally deep and aware, and more compassionate than 99% of the people in my life.

(9,265 posts)I watch my 2 yo granddaughter 4 days a week. Shes good with pets but Charlie has never been around little kids. At first he would hide when she was there. Now he makes a point of sitting on my lap or next to me - Mom-Mom is MINE too!

(2,284 posts)When I had my wisdom teeth out, I came home and went right to bed.
My old kitty, Ghost, snuggled under my arm and stayed with me all night.
Once when my husband and I had an argument, Ghost climbed up onto my lap and stared down my husband!
(Which was hilarious, because when we started dating, we both joked that Ghost had a crush on him - he would get all goofy & clumsy when he was around...)
He would sit on the edge of the tub when I took a bath, dipping the tip of his tail into the water & letting me play with it.
And he LOVED hugs, which was great from an 18-pound boy.
When he died, I said that no cat would ever love me the same again.
I've had five more since then, and we all love each other in our own ways, but I think Ghostie was my spirit animal.
And now I'm crying.
So yeah, I understand!

(21,450 posts)the cute and sweet things that cats do, but I have been amazed, appreciative, and awestruck.
My previous cat, Leo, always snuggled up to me in bed, under my chin, against my stomach, or in the curve of my legs when I lay on my side. When I came home after abdominal surgery, I slept on my couch because climbing up into and out of bed was too painful. I placed couch pillows in front of me to prevent Leo from leaning against my stomach and abdomen.
Leo tried to push away the pillows. I readjusted them and myself. In the process, my abdomen, with its stitches and scars were visible. Leo stared at them, then licked my face and spread out on the back of the couch as if guarding me. He gave me the most concerned, sympathetic look I've ever seen, gazing into my eyes. He had been in cat fights outdoors. He had had surgery once. He understood.
I cried long and hard when he died. Clutched the pillow from his carrier at night so I could fall asleep smelling his scent. I could not say his name for months after his death without crying.
It was 6 months later that a coworker gave me my current bundle of feline fur from her cat's litter. I was afraid that I that I was grieving too much to give the new little kitten the care and affection she needed, but the coworker said I would warm up to this kitten because she was so sweet and cute. She was, and I did. She brightened up my life with her antics and kept me on my toes with her constant activity and mischief. Impossible not to love her. She is 5 years old now. I still remember Leo with love, but Ember has my heart now.
