Mr Lake had a tradition with our big dogs at end of the Day a Beer and an Ear.
(At first meant pig ear but that got to fattening and expensive so switched to a small treat).

So Mr. would come home open a beer and give boydog a treat. The last hit of beer would go to the dog.

Can’t do that now as our small dog would never get beer.
