I FINALLY heard Gryff 'Meow'.

All he wants to do is chill, this afternoon, and Madoc was really pestering him. I turned around to see what was going on and Gryff looked me straight in the eyes and let loose with a big "MEOW". From the look on his face, that translated to 'He's touching me, Mom!! Make him stop!!'

It's just one of those days. I just caught Madoc trying to hid some aluminum foil in my boot!

used to take wadded up balls of paper or foil (we would toss to her) and put in my husband’s house shoes. Seems like it took our cat a year before we actually got a meow from her. She would make noises, but not actual meows. I so enjoy your posts about your cats. I look forward to them every day!

is the same way to Abba. Will harass till I reach for the water bottle to squirt him because he won't acknowledge "BAD!". He will be blinking at me like, what did I do? He gets out of Dodge when the bottle is in hand. They are good companions.

They do it to indicate non aggression. It is like saying, "We can be friends."

My guess is that the "friends" blink is intended to try to smooth things over with you. Try blinking back.

2-1/2 years old.

He has meowed maybe 4 times in his life. I shut the doors to my closet,my art room my laundry room. Why because he never meows to be let out.

He's been in a closet for an hour and a half before I checked that particular closet. I was stuck in my artwork before I realized he was missing because he wasent begging for attention..
I started looking for him about 5 minutes before I found him,and yes I was panicking.
