I should be getting the feral's food ready but I have a lap full of Madoc, this morning

I don't know if it's my lap that he's loving, or the heating pad topped by a feather comforter. What ever the case, I need to disturb him because his relatives need feeding!!

2. Sometimes it's difficult to get out from under a kitty

My outdoor kitty,Tiger, is managing. He was up here to eat a can last night and ate at least half a can I put out about 3 AM because everything else is frozen. Hang in there. Hope your knee gets better

3. There was still dry food in the bowls, this morning

I just went ahead and supplemented it with the wet/dry mix. I have NO doubt it will be gone when I hobble back out, this afternoon. I'll just put out less dry food, for now.

Scooter was waiting in the middle of the snow path, and when Mittens the Kitten saw me she came trotting down that same path, towards me, meowing all the way. Such a nice start to my day!

his probable father, but does he resemble his mother in any way?

9. Spooky is black with long hair

She had two long haired greys, one black with medium length hair and then Madoc who is the only bi-colored, sleek coat kitten. They all have golden eyes.

The one I suspect is Madoc's dad almost looks like his double, except for having a pink nose. And, of course, I'm assuming the gender because I can't get close enough to check. (I was wrong about Spooky.) Hopefully that distance will shorten and a comfort factor will start to take hold.

14. What about body shape,

face shape, ears, eye shape?

I met Ember's mother when I picked up Ember as a tiny kitten. Her mother has a gorgeous calico coat. Ember's coat is tortoiseshell tabby with a little white ticking. Her father has a long haired red tabby coat. Ember's is shorter and sleeker, like her mother's.

Ember definitely has her mother's cattitude. But on the surface, looking at coat color and pattern alone, they don't look alike.

15. Except for the pink nose, they look very much alike

The face shapes are remarkably similar. Both have the same markings on their head, although the suspected dad's are a little further apart. And they both have heart shaped markings on their backs.

I've seen this cat coming from the same area where Spooky used to stay. She's now denning with or very close to Skittish and her family, and the black and white, who I've named 'Owain', seems to be staying close.

16. They sound like they have a family unit,

which seems strange for cats, but maybe they have formed a bond.

Who knows? Maybe they hang around for more than the food. After all, you have one of their relatives in The house.
