Im pretty sure now

I will be getting another cat. I will be going to the shelter to get him in May. When they have
waived fees.

I decided on a young cat.
One fixed and vetted already.A shorthair.

Who I end up with is anybody's guess.

And I promise a lot of pics and posts about the acclimation progress with each other.

I was still mourning Ollie, but knew we had to get a partner for Stanley. At the shelter there were so many beautiful fuzzy kittens and young cats. As I walked past one cage that was partially draped with a blanket, I saw the words "Feral use caution". Inside was a young tabby who hissed and spit as some folks tried to interact with her. I waited till the people left and tried to talk to her. I was amazed as she put a paw out and touched my hand. Then she hid in the corner of her enclosure, visibly trembling. That little paw didn't touch my hand - it touched my heart.

Fast forward to today. Sophie is an extremely gentle, social and delightful sweetheart. She loves to talk, play and snuggle with everyone. She chose us as her family. Each and every day with both Sophie and Stanley is a blessing. We sleep, play, eat and meditate together. We just adore them.

The right cat will choose you and Othello. ❤️

Many years ago I went to a cat shelter to pick out a kitten. I had my heart set on getting an orange tabby.

There was a cage full of orange tabby kittens that looked adorable. In the back was one gray tabby.

I reached into the cage to pick up one of the little orange beauties and the gray one came forward to crawl up my arm. I gently put him back in the cage and picked up the orange one.

The gray one jumped onto my arm, crawled up to my shoulder, and snuggled into the hood of my jacket.

I went home with the gray one. He was a delightful cat. Looked like any ordinary gray tabby kitten, but turned out to be half Siamese, which the vet discovered when we took the kitty in for his first shots.

Incoming DU superstar!

Congrats!

Looking forward to loads of pix & stories of their antics.

Will they allow you to take Othello so he can choose his mate?
