Some of you may have seen my post in a main forum about our Walter dying suddenly when a malignant tumor ruptured. We thought we had 3 or 4 months (was at vet that day), but 7 hours later we had to put him down. Never seen anything like the spiral he took.
Anyway, 2 days later I applied on Petfinder. 12 hours later, a local shelter found me a puppy.
This is Vincent! He's half lab, 3/8ths hound & 1/8th cattle dog.
He's 11 weeks old & is potty trained. He's training FAST. Learned "sit" & "go" already!

(28,910 posts)One of our 2 cats has exceptionally soft fur that feels like a powder puff. (Are powder puffs even made anymore?)

How lucky he is to have his forever home.

the same loving home he had.
I have almost always gotten a new cat shortly after having bid farewell to an old one. I always call them successors, never replacements. For me, it is the only thing that ease the grief. It gives the love that still exists for the departed critter a new place to attach, rather than floating around unanchored.

(6,797 posts)She's part lab part boxer. Black with a little white on her chest and toes. So shiny and velvety. Can you tell I kind of like her? But enough about my dog. Your dog is beautiful!

(28,469 posts)You have a very handsome, wonderful pup there. Wishing you, your family, & sweet Vincent many happy years together. I know you'll cherish him.
I have the biggest soft spot for Labs. We lost our last one new year's day & lost his sister, our 💕, 12/7/20.

(3,148 posts)there was a little android bot saying I had a virus and to click here to remove. Needless to say I backtracked - I am on a tablet also. I had never seen such a bot before on DU. Not sure i would trust that site in the future.
ProfessorGAC
(76,155 posts)I didn't see that, and I wipe my tablet every couple days.
I'll find something else.
