Anyone have cats and a Roomba?

Or a similar robotic vacuum? I'm fixing to adopt 2 older cats (12 years old) and I'm wondering if a robotic vacuum will scare them any more than a regular one.

1. Some cats love Roombas and consider them carnival rides.

2. I had to teach mine that the Roomba was not a toy.

But some cats will be scared, at first.

3. My 2 cats go from one room to the other when I use the Roomba.

They don't like it since it makes a lot of noise.
(They also hate my regular vacuum cleaner too.)

So they'll go from one room to the other, away from the Roomba.

5. I use the regular vacuum for in corners.

Or under my desk.

The Roomba works quite well, I even named mine, "Rosie."
